.

Why would the dealer pass on an opportunity to sell you an expensive extra?
The case is that he got almost 5 cars in showroom with full option except HUD.. he wont me to get one of those cars but it dons't got HUD, L7 and M5 truck lid finisher .

I dont really know why he dont want to place an order for me I told them that I dont have any problem waiting for the car but yet he insist in retrofit and me paying more money

I'v talked to the showroom manager last week and he told me to come tomorrow .. I really hate those seller

Latitude-wise yes. However, it's considerably drier which makes for clearer skies and more visible light making it to ground level.

it's true.. I really dont know anyone here with HUD to ask them ... I asked the dealer for test car with HUD as usual it's not possible

those kinds of retrofits are very expensive in this area as they make you pay for every part plus labour its like you pay to repair your not paying what in european or americans just a little extra for the option.. and its true its difficult to find a car with HUD never seen one here, or retrofited, but i did see a saudi car with it once.....

if you dont mind waiting for the car.... im sorry but tell them you want to order, i dont understand why he doesnt want to order one for you... then you will be able to chose everything you want in your own color, and the way you like even L7, and an m-aero kit.. at about half the retrofit price...

Maybe Phoenix would qualify. We are wall to wall sky here in Dallas with no problem -- pretty dry here, too.

I am in Louisiana, pretty humid here usually, but pretty bright. But, I think the salesman as most I have come across has no idea what he is talking about. You can adjust the brightness of the HUD, both in I-Drive and with the interior light adjustment. I do not have mine set to the brightest level, not even close to the brightest and I have never had trouble seeing it. In fact, I rarely even look at the speedometer due to having the speed indicated so clearly on the windshield.

the HUD is difficult to see when wearing polarized sunglasses, but it is still visible...just much dimmer.

Yep.

I've had situations where I was standing at a traffic light and was not able to see if it was red or green because of the sun, but I've never had situations where I couldn't see the HUD infos.
The HUD contrast can be adjusted in idrive, and a sensor measures the light situation and auto-adjusts the HUD. So, if you drive through a tunnel, it dims.

And it shouldn't be that expensive...

I have the HUD and it is always visible and, once you start using it, you will never want to be without it.

Also, dont let the dealer pressure you into a retrofit..........one time i wanted a Chrysler 300M ( yes ,the DARK days ) and they had one with no sunroof, they convinced me to have a sunroof installed and it was the BIGGEST mistake I made. It made alot of wind noise, leaked...........forget it...

Considering how much money you want to spend, I would make sure you get EXACTLY what you want !

dont compromise

tks

I don't know if you are facing the same problem but i like to drive with my seat at the lowest setting as possible (i have 1,83m of height), and i only can see the nav directions on the HUD. The speed is too low and the dash doesn't allow me to see it. I raised the seat a bit but i still barely see it. Is there any way to adjust the projection height on the windshield, or to change the information order on the HUD?

Yes, your dealer can adjust the height of the HUD projection.

The projection is allways at the lowest position on delivery and it can be raised.
