He~~~~lp, already installed M5 mirror, but a problem

it has an LED lamp, some one told me it's for Welcome usage, i.e., when you open the door, it automatically lights.
but the dealer told me that because common e60 does not have the wire for this lamp, so they can't get it work.
what a pity!
I know that at the bottom of the front door there is a lamp that can light when you open the door, do we have any way to make it work?

If you don't have the extended lights package there might be a problem, because you can't connect them. If I was you and didn't have the extended lights package, I would just connect the wires to the cabin lights... It's not the same, but then they goes on when you unlock your car, and when you opends your door

My Ride: Alpine White 530i loaded
I hardwire that in 2 of my customer's car and works perfect, all you have to do is take the signal from the light that is below the door.

makes sense.... just to clarify for others.... the yellowish light on the bottom edge of your door while open
that's what I think, just connect to the lamps at the bottom of the door. thanks a lot!
and, do they have the same voltage?
