Does anyone know a Co. in the UK that can integrate a hard drvie into the E60 Nav system to play MP3/Atrac music files?
I'm sure like most gadget happy peeps these days, most of my tunes lay on a hard drive and it seems silly not to be able to transfer this to your E60.
I just had a conversation with Prestige Audio in the UK who advertise in BMW Car magazine. The ad claims that they are the BM audio/visual specialists. But even they said they can't do it. Any ideas?

[/quote]Besides the HDD install, you would then need a way to transfer from one source to the HDD with another connector (USB?). And you do not have even a source available in idrive as is the AUX input. Seems like a lot of work/cost to duplicate the AUX input and an Ipod like device.

Yes. Yet another hard drive with the same MP3s you have on your home computer, your work computer and your iPod?

I know they don't have it for the E60 at this time but you might want to contact the folks who make the PhatBox and ask them if they're working on something for our cars...

I'm with you. The Ipod solution is ok but I want artist and song title on the screen with the steering wheel controls working and the Idrive knob too...
Nothing available yet but maybe soon...
