Unfortunately this web site will not let you search for HD. How do you guys like HD Radio? Thanks.

Unless you really like the content of FM then it's not worth it. And the current offering from BMW won't let you tune into HD2 channels.

My Ride: 2007 550i. Sapphire Black Metallic/Auburn Leather/Anthracite trim. Sport/Comfort Access/Navigation/Satellite/HD Radio/HUD/Premium Sound/M Aero Kit/with 50% tint sides & rear. 19" Style 166s.
I like it.
I listen to quite a bit of AM radio and it makes a huge difference. I agree, it would be nice to have the other HD channel (which BMW doesn't support) so if the $500 is an issue, it may not be worth it.
I am glad I got it though. AM = Much, much better sound quality; FM = Noticable difference.

It entirely depends on where you live. In Boston, almost every channel comes in HD so it is well worth it. I use the SAT radio for trips.
I wish I had known upon ordering that it would negate RTTI, but I think it would be a toss-up between them for me if I had to choose again since I use HD Radio every day but would only use RTTI in traffic situations (which I am not in as much anymore). With the L7 audio, it rocks!
