HD Radio
I think we all agree that the sound quality of Satellite is not that great. The question is, how much of an improvement over regular FM is HD radio? The content should be the same.
To my admittedly non-audiophile ears, FM radio sounds close to CD quality , so I find it hard to believe that HD will be any better (or worth the $500).

You seem to be trying really hard to stick up for Sirius. Do you work for them? Own their stock?
just kidding
I think everyone here acknowledges Sat Radio's pros, which is content and variety. But we're also interested in HD Radio because it could fill a void that's missing in Sat Radio right now, which is good sound quality. Having said that, I've never heard HD Radio, so I don't know for sure how good the sound quality is. But I am curious about it and if the sound quality turns out to be good, then I would want it in addition to Sirius.

No, I don't own stock in either (but they both collect from me). I guess I can't see much of a reason to listen to regular radio regardless of the quality. My tastes in music are generally pretty far from mainstream and I don't enjoy talk radio other than Howard so I'm probably not a good person for this discussion.

Does anyone know how does Sirius compare to XM radio? Sound quality wise? I use to have XM and thought it was pretty good.. Thanks

HD radio is real close to CD quality. FM is compressed heavily so it can travel father, while HD is not, so your subs will be very happy!
