Have you ever taken your 5ers to a track?

Perhaps you need some sort of license in the People's Republic of California, but in Idaho, all you need is a car and a helmet. I have never raced the E60, but have the Porsches.

Nurburgring twice (Germany, about an 120 mile drive for me), Zandvoort once (Holland, about an 80 mile drive for me).
Nurburgring was very busy the first time i went and i was a bit afraid to go flat out (it's a scary circuit).
Then went to Zandvoort, quite an easy circuit and had a spin or two![Wink](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/wink.gif)
Second time Nurburgring was fun, it was a quiet day and i had a little more confidence in the car (still didn't go all the way, probably never will in my own car

5 is probably not a car suitable for routine track use, but you can do it. I've only done car control clinic at the local BMWCCA chapter, and we drove on the track mainly to tour the track layout (speed limited to 60).
Just be aware of the insurance implications before you go.

I have never gone in my car.... well cause I'm not 18 ![Tongue](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/tongue.gif)
I think Joe from Trinity Autosport has a vid of him tracking his car![Smile](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/smile.gif)
I would love to go some time!
BTW, I heard that 135/335/535's go into limp mode after a few runs around the track because of engine or transmission overheat...
