I was wondering if this happens to other e60 owners. There are few times when I try to set my cruise control by pushing the control forwrad, I accidentally push the turn signal bar that cuase my head light high beam the car in front of me. Most of the time it happened at night.
I felt so bad, becuase the car in front of me has no idea what's going on...

Nope
But I use the high beam when the car in front of me wont move from the left lane to the right! Move it!

I try not to cut and tailgate people as much as before.

And to respond to the topic i don't remember doing that. But i do remember when i wanted once to cancel the cruise control but instead of ticking it down i ticked the stalk lights down, resulting in a left signal.
and i was wondering why it didn't cancel the cruise control
. One small mistake.

No, but I can understand the problem.
When I moved up from the E39 to my first E60 it took a while before I got used
to the cruise setting that was not in the steering wheel anymore.
But to be honest, sometimes on the freeway I still miss the steering wheel cruise
buttoms that I had on both the E46's and the E39.

You will probably get killed on the freeway. There are so many freeway shootings in Los Angeles for the past year. It's a trend, when one person start shooting people on the freeway and didn't get busted, other people follow. So many drivers died for no reason.

I'd hate to get shot for flashing some volvo driver to remind him he's doing 60mph in the fast lane.
Oh and re: the cruise control - yeah I've flashed me lights in error. But my main problem is getting used to the stalk control altogether. I've had three e46's in a row and in each the cruise control buttons were on the wheel where the 'romboid' buttons are on the e60.

Yes,
been there done that
Was commuting to Columbus to take the bar exan - 2 hours there and back every day
was using the cruise for the first time and I did the brights instead of the cruise several times - but now I know
BTW - did you know if you push or pull the cruise past the "click" it adjusts 5mph at a time - I did not know that but learned while driving

Also guilty, i was having a tantrum with a d1ck driver in front of me in London & was hinking my horn & meant to be flashing my lights, but in fact i was flashing my cruise control, which could have been a little dangerous. Also done the other way as you state when i'm trying to raise or lower the cruise speed & i flash the cars in front. I'll get used to it over time & just like the side indicators, i will get the hang of it.
