I have ordered a '04 530 with Nav and HUD and am told that the dealer will hold the order unil Jan'04 and then send it for processing.
Has anyone in U.S.A. ordered Nav, had it processed and issued a Vin # for tracking even tho Nav is scheduled for March production?

I ordered a 530 w/nav mid-October. I was told I would see it sometime in the 2Q of 2004. My salesman told me he would email the VIN to be when he got it; I haven't seen it as yet.
The dealer probably needs to wait until he receives his allocation before he can place the order.

Be aware that there is going to be a 1.2% price increase effective Jan '04. I am looking into if it effects people who have already placed orders with a deposit but will not receive the cars util after Jan.
Anyone have info on this??

Manufacturer has reserved the right to change the price to Dealer of new motor vehicles without notice. In the event the price to Dealer of new motor vehicles of the series and body type ordered hereunder is changed by Manufacturer prior to delivery of the new motor vehicle ordered hereinunder to Purchaser, Dealer reserves the right to change the cash delivered price of such motor vehicle to Purchaser accordingly. If such cash delivered price is increased by Dealer, Purchaser may, if dissatisfied therewith, canel this Order
If there is a price increase, it has to be because of the falling value of the Dollar vs. the Euro. BMW is probably not the only automobile manufacturer considering this move.
