You know what, Will... you may have made a very good point there, and it makes me think all of a sudden:

I noticed the rather large amounts of "counter weights" (...or whatever the name for those little weights is, that the Tire Shop sticks on the wheels in the process of balancing them, prior to install..) on my recently purchased rims. Those are 'cheapo' rims, and they have been holding up nice so far. However, the sheer amount of "weights" - must be around 8 on some of the wheels - really makes me think now... This would prove your point of "vibrations" - or trying to fight them, I guess.

Looking back, I never had more than 1 weight on any of my OEM rims thus far. Maybe, I should hold off on buying these Reps. Then again, the same OEM rims I just can't afford.

Maybe I need to settle for something in-between, like VMR's (other style than M6), or the Miro version of the M6 Reps?
Do you guys think those would be more reliable... ???

Have to admit, I'm big-time confused now...
Probably call OEMwheelsplus tomorrow and withdraw my "purchase commitment"... DANG! I don't know anymore....

Thanks for making me think, Will.

(What can I say, I love this Forum!! Thanks, guys!)

All kidding aside, SoCAL545....

How many "counterbalance weights" (or whatever they are called...) did the tire shop put on each of your wheels to get them balanced right? Would probably tell us a lot about the wheel quality, as I have learned myself today...

Please let us know, bud... - Thx!

Im not Sure how many weights they had installed - The Owner of the the Tire Shop owned an M3 and He was very impressed with the wheels - he asked me where I Bought the wheels and wanted to start buying wheels from oem wheels so I guess their very good quality

Looking great on your car, man!
Just a few too many spokes for my taste... - but that's what "personal taste" is all about, right!?

Hope they'll last, SoCal545. GL!

Please keep us posted, as I'd really like to know how the OEMWheelsplus rims hold up over the next weeks. My ride needs some new shoes too, and I'd really like to save some $$, if I can. I don't expect non-OEM rims to last forever anyways, but it would be nice if they somehow were "in some sort of natural balance" and don't need a ton of counterweights, like my Elbrus rims needed, right from the get-go. -- Thanks!
