Apparently the ACM module is not available in the UK and so the dealers are not sure how to install this. However I've found a dealer who said he will install it if I provide the EBA for it!! He even estimated the cost to be 1.75 hours labour as given in the EBA so that works out to roughly about ?260 using London rates.

Has anyone bought the ACM in the UK and installed this via a dealer. The reason I dont want to attempt to install this myself because of warranty issues. But never did I think that a part so freely available everywhere else is not available in the UK.

Having just finished the install of the ACM myself I can honestly say that even BMW themselves have never actually tried installing this kit on a RHD drive. Sure the instructions simply say do the opposite of what you do on a LHD for the RHD but now having done this I can say it?s very very difficult if not impossible.

The issue is with the orientation of wires and the lengths of the wiring harness. The instructions need you to install this on the Left side under the steering with in a LHD car, now to install this in a Right hand drive car the wires don?t reach the steering wheel on the Right because the car's existing harness is Left oriented.

I'll try and write up some notes on the install of the ACM - completely plug and play no wires cut - this is better than the BMW solution which requires you to slice into two wires. Also completed the install of my Dension unit and now its hidden away nicely and the USB and iPOD wires run into the center console below the phone cradle. Again no wires cut and completely plug and play using BMW OEM parts.
