I hear two separate noise(s). One is from the Nav DVD. It took me sometime to figure it out. I think it constantly runs till you turn the car off. Is there a fix for it?

The other one is wind hitting the front. I was hoping this car would be a lot quiter. Is it just me or any one else has experienced that too.

Thanks

Oh and I just remembered the third one. I hear a squeal or sort of rubbing noise. But its not rubbing it just sounds like it when I turn sharply to pull into a parking spot.

I am going to get this one checked from the dealer but I thought I would ask if anyone else has experienced it.

I don't have nav dvd in mine but I too sense that the cd (when in cd mode) is spinning all the time until you turn off the engine. That on/off switch looks like it is just a mute button. Because of this, I always switch to radio mode whenever I am not playing cd. Even with radio off and a/c fan off I can hear some sort of noise coming from the console area when car is stationary, sounds like some an auxillary fan.

Don't have that wind noise, thought cabin was very quiet but maybe because I am not a fast driver.

Thanks for the tip. I will try putting it to radio mode maybe it is the CD and not the Nav DVD but it does annoy me sitting in the idle car.

Do you turn the steering wheel all the way to the limit when you are doing the turn? At the extreme limit, you normally hear a slight "hissing noise" and a spongy feel on the steering , think this is just the power steering pump telling you that it is at the limit, happens on most cars but not sure if the p/s pump will sustain damage if this is done excessively.

I am familiar with noise that comes with hitting the limit of the steering wheel. No I am not turning it all the way. Just by turning it quickly makes that noise.

The Nav DVD noise is, I think, completely normal. I have recently taking to driving home from work with the radio off, just to get some peace and quiet, and notice that the Nav DVD regularly spins up with the reader tracking it. Got used to it already.

No idea about the wind noise you're talking about - my car is quiet to the extent that my wife keeps asking me why we're going so slowly, even though we're going 85mph.

there are a lot of checks and adjutments made by the HVAC when the car is off, it is normal.

The NAV DVD is spinning and reading constantly as you drive. It needs to do this to keep the moving map updated as you drive.

I have something similar when turning sharply while entering my driveway or parking. It sounds like something with the brakes at that turning angle and the way the pads rub against the calipers. It did this from the time I took delivery. Thought it would go away after some wear, still there.

Please let me know what you find out from the dealer.
