I'm about to take my 04 545 in for the 5th time (BMW North Scottsdale) to get it worked on. It keeps coming back and they don't seem to know how to fix it.

Any solutions would be much appreciated.

Can't say that I have ever heard it before. I also have an 04 545 and am curious what sound you are speaking of. Can you elaborate more on this?

BTW, How do you like BMW North Scottsdale?

These should give you an idea of what I'm talking about.

I'm not really a fan of BMWNS. They all seem like the thing they care most about is getting a 5 rating on the fedback. And they certainly can't find my problem. The actual service techs seem pretty genuine, but the salesmen and service advisors seem kind of fake to me.

I couldn't agree more with you. I expressed that exact point when I got my call from BMWNA. I gave them a 3. Because they did their job. They did not excel or go above and beyond expected work. The SA didn't go over anything when I went to pickup my car. He just stayed in his office and told me that all work done was on my receipt.

I can say that I received FAR worse treatment at the Chapman dealership in Scottsdale. I was even lied to at one point. I then proceeded to leave and schedule with BMWNS.

I have this rattle, only on harsh bumps. Are you equipped with the shades option?

I have the shades option and always thought it was due to the electric shades.

PM me if you want. I might be able to recommend an SA--excellent. (and a sales team--excellent). Did you happen to talk to the Service Manager about the issue? And, I have not experienced the noise either. So, I too am curious.

As I mentioned in one of the posts, my dealer had to take the whole parcel shelf out fitted new clips in to stop the rattle. So far no rattles from the parcel shelf but a few noises from the doors now and again when going over bumps.

I do not have the shade option so it isn't that.

Thanks for the offer on SA. However, I am all the way up to the General Manager on this one.

I'll ask them to look into the clips issue.

Something in the back of my car has been noisy for a while but it has gotten so bad that today when i got home i had my daughter ride in the back to see if she could identify where it was comming from. She is convinced that it is the parcel shelf rear passenger side possibly around the vents at the rear window. I will investigate more tomorrow. I am thinking that if it is around the vent then could it be the plastic vent tube itself and ifso how do you remove the shelf to fix it sounds like a flute or a howl
