I don't even have to think about that one.? ? On the Audi set up, if you went from 6 to 4 which I often do, wonder how the delay would be? One clutch or both - whatcha think?

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
The negatives that I have heard about the DSG is that it selects the next gear that it determines should be the next gear based upon a number of inputs, this sometimes leads to the wrong gear being selected and a correction is needed by the driver. With SMG you get what you paddle. The DSG also upshifts by itself if you go near the red line. Again something that you might not want. The DSG is smoother but the SMG is more of a drivers tranny.

The article above deals with this exact issue.? It said the time between shifing increase from 300ms to 900ms, aprox.

BTW, I'd be perfectly happy rev-matching into second or third under a second with my manual transmission. But then again, I have a lot of improving to do.

[/quote]There are specs on delay times if you do a search but you might be able to shift as fast as a SMG on some shifts but not as fast on every shift. The faster you try to shift the less reliable each of your shifts become.
