Default Hard Bumps in Leather

So I was cleaning the leather on my passenger seat and I noticed a couple spots where there is a hard bump in the leather like a bulge of some sort.. The car is from 2005 so it might just be age but would anybody possibly know the cause of this.. It is pretty minor yet very bothersome to me

Apologies......it was sitting out there like an overstuffed pinata. Do you know what type of leather is in your car......Merino, Dakota?

ahah it's alright.. If I had to guess I would say Dakota but could possibly be nappa or merino.. I'm not too sure how to tell

the bumps in the leather are at the crease in the seat where the lower part meets the backrest

You can tell all the options on your car here:

Free Online BMW VIN Decoder, lookup, check - BMWVin.com

It almost sounds like there's a problem with the underlying foam padding in the seat. A photo might help to illustrate.

My seats are dakota leather and I would take a picture but this is something you wouldnt view to the naked eye but you have to feel for it.. thanks for helping me so far and if you have any clue on how i could fix it that would be appreciated.. maybe leather conditioner would soften it up? and oddly it seems like they are getting smaller each time I feel for them but maybe im just going insane over this small detail on my car lmao

I have a theory about chlorine water maybe seeping into the seat and piling up there but it is doubtful.. me and my friend sat on the seats with damp swimsuits for like 5ish minutes before i realized it probably wasnt a good idea and I used a wet washcloth to clean them off that night.. it is doubtful to me that this is the issure because there is no damage elseware besides the one spot with two bumps in the one seat
