Driving in France definitely requires more attention and caution than driving in e.g. Germany - at least that's how I've experienced it. Many French and Italian drivers seem to have a rather relaxed attitude towards the indicators (as well as speed limits) - especially in larger roundabouts or on the highway - changing lanes or while overtaking vehicles in the slower lanes. Quite often I've experienced cars located in the imiddle lane of a three lane highway, having their left indicator switched on constantly. At such instances I become extremely uncertain - is the driver using the indicator to warn me that he is about to switch to the outer lane where I'm positioned, or is he using it to indicate that he is overtaking the cars in the inner lane? Their use of blinkers defy my sense of logic and Norwegian understanding of traffic rules.
The drivers Flowerfred describes does also seem to be present in France - quite often cars change lane regardless of the traffic in the lane they enter.
As regards securing one's vehicle - how come there be no "code" function on the computer as on the E39? Did it really provide any security?

Ooooo what a nice picture. Beautiful shapes, both by mother nature and by Mr. Bangle!!
Where is it?
It makes me wish I was back on my holiday trip through Germany and France ( Disney ). It?s so much fun to drive around in Europe ( especially Germay ) with a nice car as the E60!
Close to 20.000 km now

The picture is taken along the A13 in Switzerland, some kilometers north-east of the Passo del San Bernardino, close to a place called Medels.
BTW.. I may also recommend the road going from Andermatt to Chur in Switzerland. Although.. it is not particularly suitable for those afraid of heights
