My 525iA (A = automatic transmission) was registered the 8th of July in 2005.
It has now only 18,400 km's on it and is as new.
Gross retail price as new in '05 was about Euro 70,000
Financing then, cash + old E60
Selling estimate today, about Euro 45,000
1. service including change of oils (engine and brakes) and dito filters 1/07.
New mircofilter 6/07.
Problems: a AC regulator malfunction, changed 2/07 for free.
Service and maintance costs all in all Euro 240.
Insurance per month Euro 84, full insurance for any possible happening.
Gas consumption, average about 11 liters / 100 km.

Lots of city and queuing -traffic, plus ice cold winter driving.
On longer highway trips the consumption is around 8 liters / 100 km.

I think the 123's are one of the better wheels on T.Silver 5er.
Again, it looks great

Congrats! Why do you "invest" all that money in a car, when you only drive 9000 km's a year ? How do you manage not driving more ?
3 years and 3 months, and 104.500 km's on clock - the car still looks like a new one! I drove 470 km's friday, with a aveage speed of 118 km/h and the fuel consumption vas only 6.1 L/100 km!!!
I will be driving 5-600 km's during the next two days, and will enjoy every km

Firstly, 9K km's a year means a lot of hours in the car

The E60 is a OK!
A larger car wouldn't fit around here in p-houses etc.
and a stronger engine would not take me any faster anywhere.
A6 nor the M-B E doesn't feel right or good enough.
Japs and Jags I don't see as class one Premium.
The investment part - no (car) loans
