Man this makes me effin sick!!!!!!! I am so so sad to see this. I really hope it returns to you without damage. If it doesn't I hope your insurance going forward does not hike up per this incident. Whatever happens, you need to sew a pocket into your pillow for your keys at night.

Ba*tards....it will probably be on a container somewhere by now. Hope the insurance gives a sensible payout......I don't think I'd want a car back that had been ragged by some lowlife.

My condolences, I feel bad for the UK folks, you guys seem to suffer a higher percentage of losses due to crime.
I thought the US had crime problems but I have been very lucky and never had a car stolen or my wheels "nicked"
My family has friends all over the UK and every single one has an alarm system on their car and house, and they never leave their property without activating them. Sad...

The situation is perhaps not quite that dramatic in the UK as you allude too; that said there are gangs operating that target premium brand cars. The fact is it?s ?easier? to bypass home security systems than a cars at this time, hence the ?organised? thieves (sub-humans) break into the house of the targeted vehicle and steal the key; using the key does not damage the car hence it may be shipped to another country promptly (inside a shipping container) for re-sale under a forged identity.
It seems tracker systems fitted to cars are under threat too, they are not always a deterrent; I had a conversation recently with a senior police officer, he informed that some thieves are now using equipment to mask (scramble) the cars transponder (tracking) signal, hence the potential is there for the stolen car to be moved with impunity..................
The police here have had limited success in repatriating a few cars to their original owners, albeit many, many, many months later. These specialist police teams focus their efforts to the complete chain; as the cars stolen are right hand drive there are limited markets for re-sale.
