GW500 and 2009 160GB iPod Classic

My Ride: 2004 530i, Sports Package, Premium Package, Nav, Logic 7
I have a 2004 5 Series BMW. I just installed a GW500 with 2.18 firmware. I'm trying to use a 2009 160GB iPod Classic with a firmware version of 2.0.3 with it, which is filled to about 80GB.
Here's the problem. When I try to look at the Artists list, I either get a bunch of errors on the screen or the screen freezes while loading the info. Once this happens I can't do anything. It will list Playlists, but some of the playlists won't play either.
I've tried all the different dip switch settings for the BMW and restored and reloaded the iPod. Nothing works. Also the last BMW Progman update was about a year and a half ago.
I also have a 80GB iPod Classic that is almost full and it works just fine.
Are there any known limitations or solutions for this problem? I'm also checking with Dension.
