Well, last weekend i went with friends to the Ardennes in Belgium.
During my visit to Bouillon an E60 ran before me and then i noticed something really weird.
His badge said 350d . What a fool did put on the numbers in wrong order
(sorry for poor quality pics but taken with my phone while driving + through the window...)

Maybe the guy took off the "2" on his 320d and turned it the other way round so it looks like a "5"

A nice one!
I remember a happening from the early '70's driving with my dad in Germany.
In those days the cars was no that fast and especially a M-B 220 diesel didn't top more than 130 km/h.
But on the German freeway a 220 D did pass us (cruising at some 120 km/h) very fast.
At the next gas station the same "220 D" was pumping in gasoline!
It was acually a 280E with a top speed of some 200 km/h.
Who of you guys would but a 520d badge on your 550i?
BMW has a 4.4 litre diesel V8 engine (745dA: 330hp and 750 Nm) so a five litre diesel could easily be a fact.
The hp and Nm war is extreamly heavy these days, M-B has big diesels to offer...
But I doubt the 5 litre diesel will be introduced on the E90.
