I was at the dealer the other day and picked up the current accessories catalog. On page 20 was a grocery gripper- it's a piece of plastic with slots to suspend bags from the top of the trunk. They gave me installation instructions, it involves some drilling. Does anybody have this? Did you install it yourself, how hard was it? Part is $25, with an $11.50 install bracket also required. What solutions have any of you used for groceries in the trunk to avoid bags spilling.

I rented a car with a similar feature - it was quite good.
I just use bungee cords in a criss-cross pattern in the trunk and place the bags into the openings between the cords. I have two shorter (i.e. tighter) bungees between the eyelets on either side and put bottles etc. inside or even under these. Works pretty well for $1.98.
