Good afternoon,

I was offered by a friend of mine some e60 BMW blacked kidneys and was wondering what follow e60's think of changing from Chrom to Black. The vehicle is a '08 550i Black so they would blend in.

Thoughts? Does it look tacky all black?

Thanks

If you don't like them you can always change them back to chrome.

Go black.

If it's too much black for you, do what I did....combine the black frames with the OE chrome slat thingys.....

Likey so.......

I like that. Can the two be seperated easily?

Yes, they can be seperated easily....the slats are held in place by tabs, just release the tabs and pull the slat sections out, and snap into the black frames. Simple procedure

I seen this look on a black M5 and it looks nice.

If I knew it was so easy to combine the two I would have done this before going all chrome. Now I need to buy a black grill.

Go black with the chrome inserts, that's what I did for my E39. Best of both worlds !
