Gentlemen (and ladies)!

It is with great pride and joy that I salute you and welcome myself (humbly) into your ranks. I've been lurking about on this site for over a year, listening, learning and biding my time. I come to you as a former owner of three e39's and a lemon e38, all sport(s), all sexy, and all well worth the investment(s) in ownership. About two years ago (I work in finance in NYC) I lost my job and was forced to sell my long sought after 2003 540i M-Sport with extremely low mileage. Since that time, things have stabilized, but the e39 style just became too dated for me. I realized that it was time for an e60. That, and the fact that the wife said it was okay (getting her a 2008 MDX helped!)

I purchased my 2006 550i for 25k in early September from a board member and I could not be happier. It has 73k on it with CPO and extended maintenance until June of 2012, as well as a three year wheel and tire protection plan. The car didn't have a mark on it, and obviously came thru with flying colors on the pre-purchase inspection (clean carfax too).

I have added the iPod interface (kinda lame), spec dock (kinda cool), tints, MTEC V2's, but all other mods (below in signature) were done by the previous owner. I have since removed the Sprint Booster and will be offering it for sale in the classified section. The device is simply too twitchy for my liking, and I don't want to be pulling it in and out of the car for stealer servicing. I also think finding other ways to "actually" add HP is the way to go anyway!

My future wish list pretty much just includes the M-tech body kit as there isn't THAT much more the car needs. Sure, some LCI lights would be nice, but I can't see spending $1300 on that at present. Maybe some OEM all-weather mats!

I will be posting a lot I hope, helping where I can, and seeking help when I need it (yeah yeah, use the search button). I really think this is an awesome community, and I am psyched to be in the mix.

All the best, ESQYANKEE

:-)

Nice Car, nice background. I noticed from my recent trip to NYC that license plates have changed.

Really like your 166s

Thanks! I think they work well on black, although I do my my ACS Type III's from e39-land. I would be open to trading these for some Style 128s.

Hey man, we're not that kind of forum here lol

Anyway, I was just passing through the area. But...
We're probably going to do a restaurant meet soon'ish, so keep an eye on the meet n greet section
