If the "hissing" brake sound doesn't go away after some driving get new front disks and pads
+ new rear brake pads.
I full brake service is never wrong, get the seller to pay for it.
But if the car is BMW dealer served, you can pretty much depend on the iDrive.
You did get a manual and and the original service booklet, did you?
