Is this a chronic problem in ours 5 series ?

Many members here has or already has this problem.

Only the computer Dealer can ready this problem or another scanner can do this ?

My friend has a BOSCH scanner.

if it is indeed the motor assembly or the module i have spares for sell. i recently had to buy a new pre-lci xenon drivers side headlight for cosmetic reasons. so i have spare parts to sell you. and to be honest, you can open the back cover of the headlight and swap out a ton of those parts w/o replacing the entire assembly.

first get a diagnostic run to find out the culprit, then let us know what parts you need, someone on here will probably have what you need at a FRACTION of the dealer cost....so dont panic quite yet...

I have the same problem, also my RHS headlight is fogged, so maybe its water damage. I am going to have to dig in and find the issue soon.

Started digging last night. Fuses And plugs are in place, damn! I have one error code under adaptive headlights, brake light switch faulty... My 2 stage brake lights themselves work fine though. I'm going to think about that and pull the headlights to inspect all the mechanical stuff. I've got to polish them and deal with a condensation issue anyway.

I also have a light module fault, alc system defect.

This document contains lots of info for understanding and troubleshooting adaptive headlights.

i've had the same problem for about a month now but never took it in to the dealer even though i loved my adaptive i just had to live without it until i can figure out the problem. Hopefully when i take it to the dealer it the damage won't be too bad. Let me know if any of you take it to the dealer i would love to know what they would say.
