Default Great experience with new ATL Indy shop

My 2007 550i just passed 100k miles and we have decided to keep it, so I needed some maintenance.

Went to a local shop in Cumming called Top Tier. Owned by a ex BMW technician.

Anyway, I just asked for an oil change ($69!), brake fluid flush ($89) and new spark plugs ($315 with NGKs).

They reprogrammed for my new battery that I did 4 months ago for free.

Called me with a couple items found during inspection.

I didnt tell them, so wanted them to find:

- I have had to add coolant every so often but never saw any leakage/drips. They noted a small leak at the coolant temp sensor...just replace o-ring, $50
- My washer pump wasnt working...but I didnt say anything...they noted a cracked washer pump. $110
- My dealer told me my thrust bushings were bad over 30k miles ago as a cause for some vibration issues. wanted almost a grand to replace. They found torn bushings that were toast...$380 to replace both, parts on hand.

Gave me 10% off labor to to all of it.

$1000 and a car that is completely ready for long term ownership.

They stated this car has very little issues for 100k mile car and in great shape...feeling good about this one.

Damn $69 for oil change. I just dropped mine off at Sport Motoring in Decatur and they charged me $119 for oil change and 405 for the thrust bushings. Plus 10% of labor. Only at 35k on my 08 550. Good stuff.

I go there as it is local. They said they make nothing on oil changes and do it as a customer courtesy for future business. Really nice people and nice shop, glad they're so close to me...

I can't even buy the oil to change it myself for less than $90
