It sucks, but you DID what he cited you for!
I just roll down my front windows when I see cops. My z is tinted even darker (20% all the way around) and I've never gotten a ticket. I live in CA where they are strict as hell.
Can't cite you for tinted windows if they can't see your windows!

I'll get the insurance one taken care of, called my insurance company just now and I am getting the insurance cards sent over (misplaced the ones at home, oops!
).
and Im like "my dad's" since its insured under his name... n they're like "what is that" after looking at the registration sticker, i reply "head up display"
Go fight the ticket. I heard in some places cops get a commission on the amount of successful tickets they right. I know here they have quota's they have to reach but can't you go to the station and show your insurance slip and they throw out the ticket?

My Ride: 530I Silver gray with gray leather with Premium Package, Logic 7 Premium sound system with Ipod interface, xenon adaptive headlights, Active steering, Power retractable rear sunshade, Comfort seats, Cold weather package and M5 OEM 166 wheels, Sprintbooster. Ceramic Tint all around, Bilstein Sports shocks with Eibach springs, Brake performance Rotors and Axxis ceramic pads.
More like November of last year for the state of Illinois. This is when the bill was signed. A lot of Illinois cops were really pissed! But if you live in Chicago, the tint is still illegal due to local ordinance.
Next bill for review is elimination of front plate.
