My Ride: 545 modded the F out
Like the title says, yesterday a lady in a saturn reversed into me at a slow speed as she was trying to get out of her spot. I was in shock cuz I literally was sitting in my car and just finished parallel parking when she hit me. She got me good enough to cause subtle yet noticeable damage to my paint on my front bumper. I planned on having the whole front end painted after I made the cross country drive back home so this kind of works out perfect. I wanted to just settle it out of insurance as her deductible is still $500.00 but she insisted on insurance handling it so I didn't argue at all. It was a pleasant conversation though. She thought I would go nuts but obviously it was me who was benefitting from it in the end so I just happily exchanged insurance info with her and went on with my day.
I spoke with the insurance company (State Farm) and told them that I was in the process of separating from the military and moving back home to Ca so I couldn't afford to have my car in the shop at the moment. I asked them to just have them take an estimate and I'd gladly cash out. They said that was probably the best idea so on Monday I have an appointment with an adjuster and they will cut me a check.
Pictures really anything special since you cant really tell but her exhaust hit my bottom portion of the bumper and it started to spiderweb the paint. Anybody know ballpark figure what a shop with quote parts and labor for just redoing the front bumper? Only thing I can think of that could have been effected slightly is the alignment of my bumper cuz their's a tiny gap in between my headlight and bumper now.

Thanks bro. I felt the same way last April so I just said screw it and went for it. Like I mentioned in previous threads before... My car was identical to yours just last April then I just went a little mod crazy and started with the paint job. A decent paint job should only run you maybe 3k (hopefully). Pretty much a set of wheels and tires. I dont regret it one bit. The plus side is that your engine bay wont look too off since black will still look normal.
I miss the black sometimes as well tho. Your ride is pimpin how it is, but I feel where you're coming from. In this specific situation I would have to say that the grass is indeed greener on the other side. The black was beautiful, but a b*tch to maintain. The white tho .... takes my breath away every time. Starfire Pearl Actually. Love it

Yea thats the good part cuz i dont plan to have it painted for another 3 months. The paint is cracked and the spiderwebbing has begun tho. Its not extremely noticeable, but its there. Im sure after a few weeks of normal driving it will begin to spread larger and larger.
