plug only - do not reccommend going over 80 mph
patch - drive as usual.

Get the patch that comes with a plug too.


btw, 106 tire on queens blvd patches and balances your tires for $18

If properly done, it will last the life of the tire.

thanks man... was just about to ask for a recommended shop in nyc ... this forum is great...

Happy to hear that you solved your problem

I was lucky enough to get a nail in both of my rear tires within a month of changing them plug and patch quickly repaired that

queens blvd and what? (where on qb?)

in the 4 yrs ive had my e60 ive had to replace 6 tires! the last two times the tire shops said it was too close to the edge to patch. (dont remember about the other times)

Don't worry about the plug, they are safe when properly used. Driving on the tire without air could cause worries though. Depending on how far you went you may have compromised the integrity of the sidewall. I've seen tires after being driven without air even 1/4 to 1/2 of a mile, where the inside of the sidewall gets chewed up from the contact with the other interior tire surfaces. I would have your tire removed from the rim and checked on the inside to make sure you didn't damage it driving without air.
