Razor sharp handling on dry roads but not as good in the wet --- Michelin PS2
Top notch wet handling but slightly less sharp on dry roads --- Goodyear F1 GS D3

Had Goodyear F1 GS D3's installed last week.
I then went on a 1400 mile trip through the twisty mountian roads of West Virgina, Virgina, and North Carolina, and it rained EVERY MILE I was on the road.
The F1's were the best wet handling tire I have ever had.
This week I drove more at home on dry familiar roads and I'm not too excited over there dry handling, less grip and more side wall flex then I expect from a Summer Preformance Tire.

Well I think I will be happy with the PS2's then.
I want them more for dry road use and quieter is better. Either way it should be a vast improvement over the runflats i have now.
Thanks

KAF and bspeed, what about tramlining?
Your writings would indicate that the GY is less trendy to tramline
And you guys are talking non-RF, aren't you?

Yes non RF. I hope the ps2s don't have tramline issues.

Veight - did you go with the PS2s? I was just reseaching this same comparison a month ago when I put my thumpflats back on. While the Goodyears appear to be incredible, not one person out there really ever complains about the PS2s (where as there are some digs against the Goodyears). So I was leaning towards PS2s... but the ride somehow got better on my car (warmer weather? thumpflats get mad when stored for the winter?, I got used to it again?) .

I have the Michelin P2s on my Jag XJR and the Bridgstones on my C2 Porsche. They are both great tires. No experience with the Goodyears. I think that the Car and Drive test mentioned earlier in the thread, takes price into comparison in comming up with their point totals to determine a "winner" and the Michlens would be higher rated based on performance if the cost compnant was taken out of the mix. In any event, I am sure that you will be happy with either the mich or the bridg
Which Bridgestone tires did you have?
