... and the navi is pretty sweet in that car.
Yes, the NAV in the BMW sucks. I would like to have my Toyota navigation back - but nothing else.

Enjoy the Lexota. I could not stand the GS compared to the 525 when comparing vehicles. In fact it was the worst out of MB, BMW, Audi and Infinity. It handled just like my friend's Camry, very sloppy with bad pedal fade.

I test drove the Acrua RX, Lexus GS, Lexus ES, and looked at Infinity G and M. I like the nav in the Lexus and the back up camera. But after looking at all of those cars and not having any of them really excite me much, I started looking at Honda Accords. None of those cars really seemed worth the money for what I was looking for.

Then I test drove the 535. I found my car! Absolutely blew the other cars away in terms of performance and excitement and the comfort seats were the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in. Sure the touchscreen nav is nice in the Lexus as is the backup camera, but they pale in comparison to the smile that will be permanently plastered on my face everyday while driving my BMW.

If I were looking for a very cushy ride with nice luxury features, then the Lexus is a nice car for the money. I didn't realize how much more I wanted the performance end of the performance/luxury equation until I got behind the wheel of the BMW's.

Dude, no offense but YOU'RE ON CRACK! My father has an '09 Lexus and the navigation sucks. Touch screen, woo hoo. I even mentioned it to the service guy who told me that it couldn't compare to BMW.

To the Op:

Good luck and congrats on the new Lexus...To each his own I guess.

My wife loves her ES350..

Comfy as hell and bank vault solid, but I'd be bored driving it in about a month.

Hey not every guy can handle driving a bmw just like not every guy can handle being with a supermodel. Sometimes theres just too much woman to handle and you gotta downgrade to the supermodels slightly fat friend...

Good luck with the new car.

I swore off BMW years ago because of just a horrible experience with a 7 series and after numerous talks to mechanics during my repairs on the 7 I decided too look elsewhere. Bought a 97 Lexus LS 400 and have had it now for about 10 years and have 170K on it and have not had to stick hardly a dime into it. Just got my timing belt replaced, water pump, radiator(they nicked it), some cam seals, and some cam bearings (I believe). Either way I needed to get the timing belt replaced as it was well due and they replace the other items while in there. All that done and I was out the door for $1250 at a good indy shop. Otherwise only other things I've had to do on the car is a starter, brake pads, and tires. Bottom line is the car runs flawless and hasn't cost me hardly anything to keep it running.

Sure you can't compare Lexus to BMW on the driving side of things. But for realiablity and comfort the Lexus is a great car. BMW's can turn into a money pit quite quickly without proper maintenance or even with proper maintenance. Doesn't surprise me you had a few of them and had issues with each of them. I know friends with BMW's that have had more issues then they should. Can't blame you after three BMW's with issues to look elsewhere. So far my 545 has been flawless thank god.

P.S.: Ease up people. If you bought three BMW's over the last few years and each was nothing more then a headache you'd look elsewhere also.

Confusius sometime say: Fat ones don't get it very often, but look out when they do.
