Hey guys , thanks for all the kind words and support. The guys at Brian Jessel BMW did a great job of handling this and I want to acknowledge them. It's this kind of service that has made them the largest BMW dealer in Canada for 5 years running ! I have a dealer much closer to my home but I was never impressed with the attitude and "vibe " there thus I made my first purchase at Brian Jessel after getting excellent pre purchase service .They have continued to impress me ever since. I know several of the Vancouver E60 Forums members are also customers there and I believe most have expressed pretty positive feelings about this dealer as well.

Thanks again
Cheers

I can agree with westcoast550. Brian Jessel does seem to have exceptional service. They have exceeded my expectations in almost all of my dealings with them. I am always impressed by how much is always going on there. Service, Parts, and Sales are always hopping. I guess that is why they are the biggest in Canada.

...erm -- you may want to read the original post! (In short... His last 550 had serious tech issues and BMW are replacing it with another 550)

Westcoast...
Congrats on getting it sorted! I see you went for the Bambo trim afterall hey!

.....and Hello 08 550///MSport ! I handed back the keys to my "problem car " and ordered a new one today . Due to the circumstances of being "Assisted by BMW Canada" I had to stick close to the original spec , especially color, but I did add a few goodies that I've learned I should have had the first time. ( thanks mostly to the fine group of members here !! ) I've included the total profile list in my signature but the new items were , HUD , Navigation, USB adaptor. I was not able to get the Aluminum Cube interior trim and opted for the Dark Bamboo............. I'm happy to be moving forward and will have to wait till early April for delivery. It will be interesting to own the pre LCI and LCI back to back and see what differences I notice. I certainly love the new head and tail lights ........... not big on front fender reflectors.

Thanks for the kind words and support !!...................... Let the waiting begin.

Cheers

PS despite ordering the Tech Package the lane departure is deleted with the addition of the Sport auto w paddles (is this just a Canadian thing ?? )

Congraaaats man..... photos photos photos!!!

Thanks again ! I have been thinking about a few "mods". I purchased an M trunk finisher and trunk spoiler ( thanks Gary at Newport BMW ) and will get them painted and installed upon delivery as well as Hoen fog lights. I'm also thinking about a little tinting............ I don't want it dark just a slightly darker subtle shade of tint .............. ? The brake dust issue is something I want to address as well .............. anyone know anything about disc covers? I see them in Autogeek and they look like a good way to block the dust from coming through the spokes ??? As for the exhuast........ the wait is going to get expensive
Cheers

MYOP- dust covers look very cheap.
As for the brake dust:

-"I just got them 20 's there."
-"Them ain't 20's, but it's off the hook."
-"Them are 20's. No, they're tens. I bought 'em from somebody. But they nice, though. I keep 'em clean"
-" Yeah, they cool. They tight."

Keep them clean....

As far as tint goes I have 35% or 33%, its kind of dark, you can still see inside the car but looks good. I tinted the wifes RX350 with 25% to match the factory rear windows. They are DARK.....
