You have to have a 5er? If you're looking for something in the 30's, why not buy a new 135i? It's got some zip, it'll probably have tons of mods like the 3-series, and is probably the fastest non-M BMW.
I'll say this, if there just so happened to be a brand new E39 M5 60. I just think it looks alot better. Of course it'd have to be the LCI model.
