Hi all,
My '06 E60 530D (M57N2) has 4 dead glow plugs and when it's cold, the first start for the day is rough. I'm going to change all six as I don't like the idea doing this again, but heard that there is great chance of breaking the glow plugs by the removal process. So any recomendations will help alot. I have the MA-FRA Sviting Rapid Spray, which is great for rust removal and unblocking metal pieces. Does anyone know if the engine should be cold or warmed up before the removal, as I've heard different opinions on the net? If a glow breaks can I leave the remaining part in, as I don't wont to do a head removal for such a stupid problem, at least for now. The engine is running flawless 200k km and I'm hoping to stay that way
Now is the time to share any experience you may have.
