Getting V19.xxx today. I have NAV. Will I be getting Mp3 playback from the single CD slot?

No. At this time, it appears only September production (Week 36 and later) vehicles have this capability.

No previous vehicles have gotten the capability (yet) from a software update. Hopefully, CIP 20.x will bring this capability to earlier vehicles.

Thanks for the info.

It is so absurd why BMW didn't equip these cars with MP3 capability across the board. All models NAV or no NAV and MP3 capability on the in dash cd and changer.

My mothers Jeep Grand Cherokee plays MP3 on the dash CD and the changer.

As you have heard, no MP3 yet. But the good news is, if you end up with 19.01.01, then things may go very well. I recently had to have my CIP reinstalled, and everything works perfectly except that resetting my FM stations is a bit tedious (maybe it was before too, and I just don't remember). Also, my Steptronic now is shifting faster/more smoothly in general. And, I tend not to have any delay when moving from D to DS at very slow speeds looking for M1. 19.02 appears to be creating some radio problems.

There is a difference with the computer between NAV and non-NAV.
E60 is controlled by an OS (Windows CE).

The Jeep is made up of indepent modules that are not aware of one another.

There's good and bad with both.
