Can anyone tell me how to get rid of that annoying seat belt noise that comes on when you don't put on your seat belt?

you can get out of the car, you won't hear that chime anymore :-)

You can take a piece of metal/plastic in the shape of the belt clip and insert it in to the receiver. That should silence the noise.
Disclaimer: I take no responsibility if you do the above and you get in to an accident. I strongly suggest not to circumvent the restraint system.

When you want to buckle the belt on, then you can remove that piece and insert the belt clip.

I wonder why people still insist on driving without a seatbelt

I prefer to enter and exit my driveway/garage without wearing my seatbelt.

im not a seatbelt monitor, to each his own, but there are times when I'm just moving my car a short distance, or even in a mall parking lot and its annoying, especially when youre on the phone. I don't mind the chime, but it seams to go on forever!

You get time before it starts chiming. If I don't put it on, I can insure exact.y where it will start to chime. It is like 20 sec before it starts. Go to a junk yard and buy a seat belt piece, keep it in the console and plug it in when you don't wear your belt.
