All-season ultra-high performance tire developed to deliver precise response in dry and wet conditions with excellent light snow grip.

i can get a set of 19"(245/35 and 275/30) staggered installed for 1000. they have a 40k mile warranty. has a UTQG 480AA, which is higher than many other tires in its size category.
i like the high treadwear rating of these.
anyone use them before?

I've run the General Exclaim UHP All-season with good success: treadlife and handling in wet and light snow were good on my 530xi and these look like their next generation tire. TireRack had this test on their site http://www.tirerack....ay.jsp?ttid=142

Have you looked at the Continental ExtremeContact DWS all season ? It's about the same price range and gets good reviews too!

If you decide to go either route shop through the link in my signature for an additional cash rebate.

I also had good experience with general exclaim on my e46 m3. Both dws or dw is backorder at my discount tire so I order these...will have them mounted on my 172 19" this weekend and will update.

those look to be about 1100 installed...another 100 more, but they have a 50k mile rating. pretty impressive.

what i dont understand is why do so many people buy tires like the hankook v12, when they have a horrible tread wear rating, and cost just about as much as these general and continentals we mentioned....

I have Hankook 20 inchers on my 535 and I don't like them. They are really loud. The tread seems to be wearing OK though.

Not buying hankooks v12 again, tread ware horrible especially if your rear wheels has excessive negative camber. DWS has top ratings per tirerack and would be my first choice too. Friend of mine 535xi has them on VMR 19's and they smooth and quiet.

The Hankook V12 is summer tire, meaning it's very sticky for aggressive driving but of course it wears faster than all season counterparts. Take a look at Continental DW vs. DWS, same difference.

For the OP, +1 on the DWS. Michellin Sport AS+ is also a great choice although it's more expensive.

don't know much about tires but I read lots of good reviews from various boards including Tirerack on the DWS.
