Hi all,

I havent been around for some time now.
Did anyone encounter some sound in the automatic gearbox when performing a kick-down? Kind of like when you miss a gearshift in manual gearboxes.

Thanks a lot!

Salut Ovidiu!

No, no gearbox kick-down sound and imo there shouldn't be any. It seems wrong and it would be a good time to check the dealer. Is it loud or bearly noticeable, does it do all the time? Sounds pretty serious...

I dont really trust the dealer... i wont get into details I'm trying to figure it out BEFORE i take it in for a check. Warranty has expired, of course...
It's only from time to time. It's not very loud. Mostly when i drive a little sportier.

Did this happen when you start to move slow then suddenly accelerate ?
I think its the zf transmission design issue.

to avoid it

or change the transmission fluid. much safer that way, I don't believe any lubrication oil will last a life time.
