Gear change on LCI Sport Auto (535d)
#1
Hi its me again moaning about gear changing on the auto.
My new 535d Sport with sports auto has done about 4k miles now, and is developing some annoying problems.
The gear changing is great in general, but I have noticed is tends to slam the gears in certain situations, in normal mode when starting off it will do it (not a problem if its in sports mode), and when gunning it using paddles its quite jerky and unpleasant. Every now and again it will make an unpleasant snap change.
I was going to talk to the service dept, but now a days unless it completely f****d they are a pain to deal with.
Is this normal, particularly diesel drives please.
Help

My Ride: 535d Sport Saloon / Carbon Black / E-maps re-map / 20" Vortex R alloys - carbon black / Pro-Nav / Vis pack / heated leather / enough for now /
Always a chance that:
1) Updated 'box software is now available- should be FOC from dealer if you can convince them you get slam/jerky changes
2) its still learning your driving style - but I did see the LCI is supposed to be much quicker at doing this than the old model.
HTH - be interested to hear the outcome.

I will keep you posted to the outcome. I only changed because of my last 535d auto box issues, I hope its not been a big wast of time and cash.
Thanks
