Gasoline
There are some parts of USA where REFORMULATED gas is a MUST supposed to improve air quality ? Did lot of reading on this
This costs more as they add ethanol (corn based) V pay more for gas, no incentives for consumers
This gives less MPG (5-10 mpg depending on type of vehicle) and different kind of problems mainly performance
I compared non-and reformulated in my autos, loose atleast 5-mpg
The corn and products price is up
No significant effect on Air Quality
This is the the major factor that we do not get good mpg even though we have advanced technology in car engines / transmissions
No matter what car industries do, we loose as consumers and somebody is making big bucks, as always!

Get the government out of the business. Those various blends reduce the output of refineries which does put more pressure on price. The more the government gets involved, the more we are hurt as consumers.
Ok Let me give George a call... maybe we can discuss it over tea...

Just buy TopTier fuel. Simple as that. It's got 10% Ethanol, but the formulation is very well controlled.
I used to keep a spreadsheet of my mileage - starting prior to the shift to Ethanol. I noticed a slight improvement with TopTier fuel even over the old stuff. I now only use Shell, a TopTier supplier.

There is debate whether top tier gas is just a marketing ploy. ExxonMobil has the position that top tier is overkill just like putting too much detergent in your washing machine. The levels of additives in ExxonMobil gas and other majors is more than adequate for keeping your engine clean. In fact, more additives means less fuel and possible lower mileage. Now, I would not fill up at Sam's or your grocery store gas pump.
HUmmm is that why mobile isnt in the list?
TOP TIER Gasoline Retailers:
QuikTrip
Chevron
Conoco
Phillips
76
Shell
Entec Stations
MFA Oil Company
Kwik Trip/Kwik Star
The Somerset Refinery, Inc.
Chevron-Canada
Aloha Petroleum
Tri-Par Oil Company
Shell-Canada
Texaco
Petro-Canada
Sunoco-Canada
Ya I only get name brand gas... actually only 76. and only if necessary like on long road trips where I cant find 76 possible get Chevron or Shell.
I never touch the other brands. especially supermarket gas and costco.
How can we improve the mpg, in addition top tier gasoline and Standard tips on internet
like adding chemicals/aditives
Enviromax, Enviroplus, MPG gas caplets, Power plus) to the tank at the time of refueling
Anyone has any suggestions/used these or any other additives /chemicals. Please post.
