I'm just curious, do US bound vehicles get the fuel tank filled up at the factory, at VPC or is it left up to the dealer prior to delivery?

My dealer did it right before I got the keys.

I drove down to Atlantic City to burn off some gas New Year's Eve, then filled up with Sunoco Ultra 94. Made it just in time to catch the ball drop in the lobby of the Tropicana. It's only 2.09 per gallon full serve! In NYC it's at least 30 cents more than that!

I got a full tank on mine. The dealer always fills the tank once the car is sold. The next time you go in for service, just let the service manager know and most likely they will fill it for you.

Actually I dunno if i'll be taking my car to where i bought it for sevice... Didnt like the pricing...

BUT speaking of full tank of gas! I took my MINI into Long Beach BMW/MINI for service and not only did they not fill up my tank but ran it to the red zone and added 23 miles extra!!!

Their excuse was they wrote down the milage wrong... but it wasnt wrong it was right or really close... someone took it on a joy ride... Read here if interested...

I like their service but just have to be careful next time if they are or arnt going to let some lady take my car out for lunch.

Hard to find good dealers now a days...
