When I bought my 530i I remember it used to give me about 24mpg. Now it its giving me around 21. Anyone else have lower mpg? Any recommendations?

Change spark plugs, clean the MAF, use a Fuel treatment and check your tires.

I only have 48k on the car and you want me to change the plugs? Tires are filled properly. Whats the MAF?

Even with 48K is a perfect time to change the spark plugs.

When I bought my '06 530 with 16k miles, I was getting 26mpg. At about 27k miles I had an alignment, new battery, "programmed complete vehicle," and oil change performed. I'm now getting 27mpg.

Start by changing air filter, spark plugs and perhaps getting all wheel alignment.

I got mine when she was 17... The seven month average is 21mpg. Some tanks are better and some are worse.
