'04 525, I get about 24 in the city/hwy mix, and 29-30 on the highway, all pretty conservative driving. If I'm very careful I can get 33 on the highway.

I have an 07 525i and am averaging 26mpg overall. I have all stop-and-go traffic to work. Highway mileage is 35mpg at 75mph. I will gladly give up some fuel economy to have a car that is a pleasure to drive and not a death trap in an accident than have a bottom line vehicle, like a Prius, just to save a few dollars at the pump.

05 525i 50/50 driving I'm getting 24.7 mpg
Cheers

try changing oil at 7000km to 8000km and spark plugs at every 2 oil change.
also the install SB
I never trust the computer on BMW cars or any car for that matter.
