Got my car back form the dealer . Im forgot to put gas in it before i brough it in. It just blew my mind. Anyways, i wenty for a ride with te shop foreman (nice guy) and looked at my mls till empty. It was low. Then i signed for the car went to the closst gas station. 300yrds away. I pullin the car says 1mls. I was like wow that was close. Atleast it's accurate. Well i dont thnik im gunna go that low anymore. Ill prob fill up at around 15-20 or earlier if im in no hurry. Just thought i'd share my experience so you can have a little more trust i the gauge. THis does not mean you wont run out. I just got really luck

went about 7 miles after milage was at 0 on highway 85 on east coast before i got to a exit and get gas. amazingly car did not even shake like it was close to running out. i think you probably get 10 miles of reserve after it reads 0.

in my audi (a4 1.8t) i used to go at least 25 miles to 50 miles after 0 most of the time. i think the max i went in this car so far is about 20 miles after 0.

I was down to 3mls once. Not a great idea, especially as the car gets older.

It gets even scarier when it doesnt have a number, but instead just -- km to empty.

[/quote]I've only ever let it get as low as 5Kms but was always worried about tackling long ascents or descents just in case the fuel sloshed away from it's exit pipe in the tank.

My Ride: Nothing to boast about!
My owner manual states to refill once below 50km(30mls); otherwise function not guaranteed, and damage can occur. But I don't think I want to test that.
