i used "d" mode over 95% of the time during the tank before my last tank and had about 240-250 miles, average 17.4 mpg.
then i used "ds" mode over 95% of the time during my last tank and had 200 miles, average 16.9 mpg :'(.

"ds" mode definitely feels better and the acceleration lag that mentioned in other posts has gone. but i gotta pay the price, about $7.5 or more per fill up :'(.

 

Hey, when you are already getting 30 to 40 Mpg who cares if DS uses a bit more!!!

If you have 545, it's even worse. I have 530 and I fill up every 3 days if I drive agressively, and 6 days if conservatively.

 

Who's getting 40 MPG with an E60???!!! I must be doing somthing wrong averaging only 26-27. Or was that post supposed to be in the VW Jetta forum?

 

I must be doing something really wrong getting 15 - 16 mpg.

218bhp/500Nm compared with 230/300 in the 530i and 600 miles on a tank on the open road!! Only .2s difference 0 to 60mph at sea level and my altitude of 6000 feet, I smoke the 530i every time!!

Oh forgot to add that the Schnitzer ECU I have fitted increases all of that by about another 12% or so!!

i have 530 and drive short distance everyday. today my babe is 4 months old and only has less than 1,500 miles on :'(.

i have 16.9-17.4 mpg...now i don't feel that bad .
