I followed the instruction and tried to pair the garage door opener with the optional device under my rearview reflector. Even I reached the point of fast blinking step, it won't open my garage And when I push the button B, e.g. alone, it blinks like crazy but the garage door has no response at all. Any suggestions/recommendations?? Thanks in advance.

Did you switch the garage door motor to "programming"

Cheers

You probably have a garage door opener with a rolling code. There are some alternate instrutions in the manual for a rolling code garage door opener. Follow those directions and you should have success. There are some directions to push a button on the opener motor and then to push the button on your rearview mirror. I forget the exact sequence, but everything is in the manual. Good luck.

I had a bit of trouble with mine as well but I followed these directions and it worked. Check out the link below:

I had the same trouble. Mine has a rolling code. I got it to work eventually. I had to get on a ladder and press a button on the opener itself to pair it.

Yep, that is how you do it. Mine is a "Genie" brand, most of their units have this rolling code thingie.

make sure you clear the memory first by holding the "1" and "3" buttons down at the same time untill they blink
then try to program

I've never made it work. My garage door opener is Stanley Securecode which is not compatible with HomeLink I think. Anyway this is my first post. Great forum!
