Fuse question

Just had my '04 545i in for service, one of the coil packs went bad and I went ahead and all of the spark plugs replaced. Anyway the car is running great again when today for the first time since I got it back turned on the seat heater and steering wheel heater...no heat! I figured it was just a fuse and when I went to look at my fuses, the driver's side seat heater (which seems to control the steering wheel heater too) was gone (not blown). Before I call and question the dealer about it, does it seem like normal practice to take out fuses when testing or checking a CEL? Just trying to figure how mad I should be when calling the dealer tomorrow.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Yes I did and everything worked fine...that is why I am pissed it that is not part of the testing process! I will let you know what I find out when I call them today.
