YES THE SAME HEAR.. WHEN ITS SMOOTH NO SOUND. but as soon as the bumps come.. its those dam jim bean bottles claping together.... i have a service app on monday let see what happens.... i hope nothing bad..

I have the exact same noise on my 545i.

 

I have the same EXACT noise..ive been troubleshooting this for weeks because I have no time to make a dealer appointment...i found it to be in the headliner where the sunroof controls are located. open the sunroof, either vent or open and hit the headliner by the controls and you will hear the noise...like glass bottles hitting each other or metal parts loose???

let me know what the verdict from BMW is!!!

but try that and tell me if its the same problem as me.

 

I had this noise - for me it was the spring-loaded wind-breaker rattling against the glass of the sun-roof... Try sliding back the cover and pressing your hand against the wind-breaker while going over bumps. I ended up padding the side of the breaker that rests against the glass when the sun-roof is closed and that solved my noise problem...

yeah i noticed this morning if i press on the area it goes away. How did you pad it? pics?

 

I took some Velcro loop material (as opposed to the hook material) that came with adhesive on one side and stuck it to the wind-breader along where it contacted the closed sun-roof glass. The rattle was eliminated, so I was happy!

 

sorry not trying to hijack the thread, has anyone have a noise coming from the front, around the dash area. it sounds like a wooden ship every time i hit a slight bump.

 

i think this is the same sound we are experiencing.

no its not.. i had the same issue.. bring it to the dealer.. there`s a bar that run`s accross from one fender to the other that meets right in front of the i drive screen and climite controls.. it snaped.. nothing to get nutz about.. just bring it in and its under warrinty.... i still did get my car back.. i spoke to my sa today.. they cant find a prob or hear any nosie.. i hate when that happens.. on a good note they updated my softwear for my smg tranny.. should be alot better... i get her 2morrow.. ill keep u guys up to date....
