So i pull up to some guy in his 50s with his 750 and i look at him and he looks back..the light turns green and we both punch it..for some reason i stayed with him until 60 or so and after that he starts to pull away...we get to the 2nd redlight and he does this face like "haaa what a bs car"...we cruise to the next light and once e get to the red i signal him to put his window down and all i say is "its a INLINE 6" and he gives me a OOOOOOOOOOOO haha i felt pretty good knowing he thought i had a v8 :D one day i hope i

You're lacking a sprinter booster and RPI scoop. 750 is heavier and you should be able to stay even with it at a light to light situation.

My moment was Sunday when a Scion Tc coupe was trying to keep up, couldn't - obviously. Then at the next light (with his girl ducking and trying to hide her face) he was talking sh*@!!! It just made me laugh so I kept going.

if i was the driver id be hiding my face too driving a damn scion..it really is the new CIVIC nowadays

It is on my list of mods to come, and yes, it does increase throttle response significantly.

Do a search in the mod section. Almost everyone I know who got one loves it and notices the difference immediately.

sb works wonders, its the equivalent of "sport" mode the new cars come with

approx how much is it and where would it be installed in the car? how many different brands is there if theres more than one?

Let's see:
It's about $300 (unless you want the adjustable one which is $500 - IMHO not worth it)

It is installed where the gas pedal is, it goes plugged in between the gas pedal and the l=plug for the drive-by-wire system (meaning between the gas pedal and the computer)

Not sure how many brands there are but not something I would go for the cheapest option on, since it is connected to your throttle you can imagine how bad it would be if it didn't work properly

That happened to me 2 days ago in KSA.

I was driving my dad's 08 530i LCI w/ SB and stopped at a red light. A Nissan Altima Stopped next to me, and waved telling me to step on it.When the light turned green, my car gave me a head start with the SB but he kept with me 1st and 2nd gear. By 3rd gear, he was getting behind me, till i shifted to the fourth he was about one car behind me.

When I stopped at the next light (yes, light to light distance is quite a distance in saudi), he took the right and saw it was a 2.5. I was lucky it was not a 3.5 or else i wouldve been burnt.

This is true, my friend has the Altima 3.5 SE and it hauls ass - 285HP with intake and exhaust and chip. It would be hard for even a 535 to keep up with it.

should be is right, there are Altimas here with the 3.5L and an intercooled turbo that can easily eat up most v-8's - guy I know has 400WHP in his.

then its no altima anymore.

I dunno - remember the GTR is also a V-6 an nothing short of an M will keep up with it and the GTR is actually faster than the M, but I still want an M5

lol yea let your tranny F up on the GTR and be prepared to pay close to 35% of what you paid for the car to replace it..i would take my bros M5 over the GTR any day

Never said I liked the GTR better, I have loved M cars since the 80s, just saying - it is faster.

i love my 530 i feel like it has a soul of some kind i really do feel connected to it..even if it is not all that fast i still love the feelings i get when driving it..from my 325 to my X5 and now my 530 i really do feel BMWs are the only cars for me AMEN..and yes the GTR is a faster car but how about that new X5 M 550 hp and 580~ torque BEAST

Don't get me wrong I completely agree with you. I love my 530 (yeah it's not the V-8, but it's mine and I love it), it handles great, it looks great (better after each mod too), it even smells great - that is something you don't get in a lot of cars that warm European leather smell. I know the GTR is faster than the M5, but the M5 has been a dream car for years now and there is nothing else I would want anyway. That is why BMW 5ers will be in my garage until I can no longer drive. :thumbsup:

Nope, not that I know of, but mine is a little weird anyway - I bought it as having sport and prem pkg, it does have prem pkg, but the only sport pkg option the build sheet lists is sport suspension. I will have to check for active steering.

i had a guy trying to race in me in a ford mondeo St24, it was a nice feeling knowing a "four wheels and a board" couldn't keep up, when we stopped at some lights i looked
over to him and nodded and he smiled back. :D

I had my little moment with an Audi S5 the other day! We were on a section of freeway about to enter another section side by side looking at each other. When we got to the on-ramp he started accelarating so I followed. By the time we got on a straight away we both floored it. From 80 to 140kmh we were side by side after he started pulling away but either ways I didn't wanna push any faster and find myself pulled over for street racing! I know he could of taken me if he really wanted but my 550 gave him a pretty good run!

very nice...i would choose a 550 over the S5 without a doubt the S5 just seems like a chick car to me

I decided to sell my car and always thought my next car would either be a camaro or a Challenger (although im not fan at all of American interior, but always wished to have an american muscle, althought no body ever buys them anymore unless its a 3rd car or 4th lool)

But after seeing the Z4 today. BOY I WAS WRONG, Z4 allll the way baby. Id take the Z4 over any F10. That thing IS MONSTROUS looking!!!!!!

yea mannn that new TT Z4 :) alot of money though its just under 55k...but im actually not sure if it uses the same 3.0 TT engine because on the SPEC sheet it said TURBO induced or something like that instead of saying Bi-Turbo or Twin Turbo like ive seen before on the 335 spec sheets so im not sure either way gorgeous little car
