I have a 545i e60 and I am averaging about 19.1 MPG under "normal" non-aggressive driving. I am curious to know what other e60 owners are averaging. Please reply even if you have e60 with other engines. (I6)

didn't realize about the diesel 6
I have the same car as you with SMG. I have averaged 20.96 to date with an accurate record of each fill up. I usually flow with traffic with occasional bursts of exuberance. On the highway, I drive a bit faster than the flow of traffic, with a higher rate of exuberant bursts.

I really don't pay too much attention to what my average MPG is. I have a real heavy foot. I'm probably on the low side like 15 MPG or less?

I have a 545I with the step.My average for over 24000 miles is between 20.5 and 21 mpg.I usually cruise at about 10 mph over the limit on the highway. If you have read some of my performance related posts you know I like to accelerate. However I track each tank of fuel separately.Even when I am running acceleration tests my mileage never dips blow 18.5 mpg for a complete tank.I am sure that during tests the mileage is below 8 mpg,but this only represents a small percentage of a full tank.
