I get over 30 if I go nice and slow on the expressway, like 65 mph, in sixth gear, with conservative driving. Not fraidy-cat conservative, just very mellow. I've had over 31 for a stretch of like 100 miles driving that way. Not all downhill.

It's just a tribute to the engine management system and its freaky induction and valve timing changes. I growl around in the 14-18 mpg range around the city, but it totally sits back and sips gas on mellow highway driving in the midwest.

Wow, my gas mileage sux compared to everybody else. But, when you do 160 to and from work when you are suppossed to drive 100 I guess it makes a difference.

You can't tell, but they have to send it to you not later than three months after the incident.

I had the same situation as SueBMW. My car was giving me consgtantly between21 to 23 mpg but making manual calculaltiion it was off. Since the lat service they upgraded the Idrive to software 12.something and now it has US mpg and UK mpg. I switched to the US mpg and now I can not get more than 17.5mpg ... I drive the car a bit agreesive but still get about 315 to 330 miles for the full tank..so if I make some calculation 320/18gallons is equal to 17.7.. so that is my real mpg!? i guess that suck..i don't se how a 545 will be getting better than that unless they driv it in D all the time a keep it in cruise control at 60mph
